On Friday, December 2, The John P. Previti Memorial Foundation continues its support of the projects and programs with a check presentation to co-founders, Tony and Sandy Cappelli. Martha Cuevas visited the Steven’s Hope office in Upland, CA to deliver the gift and to hear about how the money will be used.
The donation is directed to the We Care Program’s Winter Wonderland Project. Individuals and companies adopt kids and family to fulfill their wishes, while others host toy drives to collect unwrapped gifts which are distributed to as many as eight hospitals in the area. The hospitals include Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital, Kaiser Permanente Hospitals in Baldwin Park and Fontana, Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center and San Antonio Regional Hospital among others.
This particular gift will be applied directly to the WAY Project (Wonderland All Year). One family will receive gift cards for $100 in gasoline, $100 in grocery store cards and $100 in cards to the Children’s Boutique at Steven’s Hope. In addition, the families will be part of many other “Family” events for families of seriously ill children. Total benefits over the year to the family exceed $5000.
