The Gift That Gives All Year – LoveBoxes

Posted by on January 8, 2020

Project: LoveBox. A great opportunity for clubs, groups, churches, companies and individuals to make a difference by giving a smile to someone in despair.

Just because the holidays are over doesn’t mean have to stop giving! Through Steven’s Hope Love Box program, you can give sick or seriously injured children and their families the knowledge that they aren’t alone in their struggles. It’s not hard, and with just a little time you can help make a family’s stay in a hospital just a little easier.

It’s a simple process with a big result.

Children dealing with cancer, transplant or other life threatening illnesses spend a lot of time in the hospital.  It can get overwhelming – the needles, the nausea, the boredom.  This is true not only for the sick child, but the parents at bedside, too.  So what can you do?

LoveBoxes are a great way to show the kids and parents spending long periods of time in the hospital that someone is thinking of them.  These “gifts of love” are full of games, crayons, puzzles, get well notes, and more.

When the social workers or the nurses see the child and/or the parents starting to slip into despair, they get a LoveBox.  It’s unexpected. It’s a distraction.  It’s a smile.  It’s hope.

If you or your group would like to help fill LoveBoxes, please call Steven’s Hope at 909-373-0678.  For more information, click here.
