AMPM Raises $40K+ In Latest Campaign

Apple Valley Store 81979

The AMPM Apple Valley Store #81979 is one of the leaders in image sales and donations to Steven’s Hope. There isn’t much remaining display are to put more images!

Over 100 AMPM locations in the Southern California are have been raising money to support the programs of Steven’s Hope.  Each location is franchised and the staff at each location is asking customers to make a $1 donation. If they do, they write their name on an image of children and then the image is taped to a wall in the store and for some stores, it’s getting hard to find an open spot.

This is the fourth year that this type of fundraiser has taken place. This year the campaign time was moved from April/May to October/November.  The latest results with one day to go shows total donations from customers is over $42,000!  That’s a lot of images of children! That’s a lot of help for sick children!

According to Tony Cappelli, Executive Director at Steven’s Hope, “I am so please that we are able to partner with AMPM once more.   This is noteworthy in that so many of the store locations are in areas that may not be close to Steven’s Hope.  Opening up the potential to get a new supporter where there is no SHFC presence is wonderful.  The bottom line is that the more exposure in the right way like this, the more Steven’s Hope can help the families.”

There are several AMPM Franchise Business Consultants who manage approximately 20 locations each. After getting all the locations up and running and then finishing the fundraising campaign, they will be coming to do their part of wrapping toys that will be given away to certain families.

Eric Amundson, the FBC handling the High Desert Area said, We love helping Steven’s Hope and all the families during this time of year.  Getting involved with Winter Wonderland gets us all back into the spirit of Christmas and the Holidays.”

Founders Named Hometown Heroes at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital Gala

Steven’s Hope for Children co-founders, Tony and Sandy Cappelli are being recognized as Hometown Heroes at the Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital Gala being held at the Riverside Convention Center on March 12.

Every year, the Foundation recognizes individuals from the Inland Empire that have made significant contributions to the benefit of Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital.  This year, the award is being presented to the Cappellis for their work at Steven’s Hope for Children.

“Being named a Hometown Hero is very special as it confirms that the benefits provided to families from Steven’s Hope for Children is meaningful, needed and appreciated”, said Tony Cappelli, who serves as President and CEO. “But the real heroes are the volunteers, staff and supporters who do so much to realize our vision.”

Steven’s Hope for Children was started after Tony and Sandy experienced the death of their son, Steven, just 32 hours after his birth from multiple heart issues. The charity was started in his honor to help families with temporary housing, food, clothes, transportation expenses, activities, emotional support and love.  Since 2002, the charity has helped thousands of children and their families deal with the financial and emotional strain of caring for a child with a serious illness or injury.

Jersey Mike’s Month Of Giving In 26 I.E. Locations

For the fourth year in a row, Steven’s Hope will be the beneficiary of the Month Of Giving and Day Of Giving by Jersey Mike’s Subs located in the Inland Empire.

The nationwide company based out of New Jersey, has a deep commitment to community and giving back.  Each region selects a charity to promote and raise money for.  Steven’s Hope is the charity in the Inland Empire.

“The Month of Giving and the Day of Giving have immeasurable impact on what benefits Steven’s Hope provides to families”, explained Steven’s Hope President Tony Cappelli.  “The exposure to the general public has helped us grow as an organization.  The introduction to new supporters and the financial contribution has created wonderful opportunities for developing programs that serve families of seriously ill children.”

All month long, prJerseyMikeLogoomotional displays will adorn each of the stores from Hesperia to Murietta, and Upland to Yucaipa. Information about the organization will be passed out and donations will be collected to help support Steven’s Hope.

But the big day is the last Wednesday of March.  On that day, 100% of all the sales from each of the 25 stores will be donated to Steven’s Hope.  Every penny spent on sandwiches, chips, drinks, cookies and salads will be donated back to the charity.

“Because of this event, we have some special opportunities for individuals to volunteer as Steven’s Hope Ambassadors at each of the locations. If you would like to volunteer on the Day Of Giving, please contact our office at 866-3-STEVEN.
