Winter Wonderland Wishes For Kids Biggest Ever

Posted by on November 30, 2015

2015 WW LOGO-PNGIt was expected that there was going to be a sizable increase in requests this year for support from Social Workers at several hospitals. More families are facing the reality that there may not be any kind of gift-giving for their kids, sick and healthy.  The caring Social Workers are once again looking to Steven’s Hope to answer the call in a big way.

Dozens of toy drives for unwrapped presents for kids of all ages are beginning to take place all over the Inland Empire.  Individuals are hosting drives at their homes and offices.  Companies are making their Holiday Parties a toy donation drop.  Groups like the Inland Empire Association of Health Underwriters are asking for unwrapped toys at their Christmas luncheon.  Even restaurant locations like Chick-Fil-A are trying to fill up boxes and bags to help fill the need.

“It’s amazing to see how this magically comes together every year” says Co-Founder Sandy Cappelli. “Each year the task seems so daunting. Each year, somehow, someway, someone or a group will come out of nowhere and helps to achieve the goal that seemed unreachable. We are just waiting to see who it’s going to be this year!”

More information is available at www.stevenshope.org/wonderland on how to help with a toy drive, sponsoring a child, volunteering to sort and wrap presents and more. You can also send an email request to wonderland@stevenshope.org.
