Sandy McBride — Volunteer
Sandy McBride first came to Steven’s Hope at the request of her friend, Ruby. After one hour at a Vision of Hope Tour, Sandy was so moved she decided right then, she wanted to get involved – really get involved. First, she signed up to work at the Children’s Boutique in Rancho Cucamonga. While that was fun, she wanted to do more.
After doing some digging, she found that the company she worked with, Beauticontrol, had a foundation that gave grants to nonprofits. Sandy dedicated lots of effort to putting together a grant request and submitting it. After a few months, she got the call that the W.H.O Foundation (Women Helping Others) was awarding $4,800 to Steven’s Hope for the Klothing Kids Program.
On October 5, Sandy McBride presented Steven’s Hope with the grant check. In attendance were several Steven’s Hope representatives, friends, and her friend, Ruby Ahmed. Upland Mayor Ray Musser congratulated her for doing such outstanding work.
