Volunteers Needed for Day Of Giving

Steven’s HoJerseyMikeLogope is looking for volunteers to help represent Steven’s Hope at the eight Jersey Mike’s Subs location located throughout the Inland Empire.  The times needed to be filled are between 11AM and 2PM for the lunch rush and then from 5PM to 8PM.  We are looking to fill 3 to 5 slots for each shift at each store.

The store locations are in Upland, Rancho Cucamonga, Redlands, Norco, Eastvale, Glendora, Murietta and LaVerne.  On your shift, you will greet customers, thank them for visiting and provide general information about Steven’s Hope for Children.  A friendly, outgoing personality as well as a good general knowledge of Steven’s Hope is beneficial.

If you are interested, please contact the Steven’s Hope office (909-373-0678) and speak to Lulu for your assignment.

Children’s Boutique A Great Value For Public

Healthy families from all over the Inland Empire are finding out about a hidden treasure: The Children’s Boutiques at Steven’s Hope. That is where you can find children’s clothes with “Boutique Quality and a Thrift Price.”

“The stores offer the public a real value,” says store manager, Christine Haro.  “There is a lot of great clothing in the two stores and the prices are hard to beat, especially if you’re in our Frequent Shopper Club.”

The Upland Store is in the corporate offices of Steven’s Hope. “It’s small, but it’s packed with clothes.” Upland is open Monday through Saturday from 10 to 5.

The Rancho Cucamonga store is larger and features bigger selection and bigger items, too. “We’re in the back by the theaters, and with all the junior size inventory we have,  it’s worth the trip to visit our store”.   Rancho is open seven days a week.

Visit the Children’s Boutiques website at www.shopstevenshope.org or call 909-256-0100.

James Worthy To Speak At Steven’s Hope Banquet

The 2013 Steven’s Hope for Children Drives To Save Lives Golf Classic will be held at the beautiful Red Hill Country Club on Monday, May 20.  The event was moved this year to the Rancho Cucamonga golf course.

This year, former Los Angeles Laker and NBA Hall Of Fame Member, James Worthy will be the featured guest speaker at the auction and banquet following the tournament. Known as “Big Game” James will be sharing stories of his time sharing the hardword with other Laker stars on their way to winning NBA Championships.   Entry to the banquet is included with the fee to play in the golf tournament.  Individual tickets to the banquet are available on a very limited basis for $75 each.

However, Mr. Worthy won’t be the only celebrity attending the day’s festivities. Several NFL and MLB stars are scheduled to attend the tournament and will be playing with selected sponsors. Some celebrities may be available to play with foursomes as a “fifth” by upgrading to “Celebrity” status with the payment of an additional $1000 to Steven’s Hope.  The tournament is expected to sell out again this year.

AMPM returns again as the Presenting Sponsor for the golf classic. Sponsorships vary in benefit and price.  Remaining sponsorships include an Event Sponsor which includes golf for 8, two celebrities to play with, signage, and more for $5,000.  Dinner, Cart, Grand Prize sponsors are $3,000 and include one foursome, signage, a celebrity and much more. Additional sponsorships range from $100 to $2500.  Individual players are $250 each and a foursome is $1,000.

The banquet and auction will take place in the main dining room of Red Hill Country Club.  Prizes that will be auctioned off  include a suite for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, dinner for 8 with James Worthy, and golf for four at Spyglass and Pebble Beach Golf Courses.  Business are encouraged to contact Steven’s Hope to discuss any in-kind donations that could be made for the auction.

The golf tournament began eleven years ago as the first event hosted by Steven’s Hope to raise funds and awareness for the Upland based charity. Steven’s Hope was started by Tony & Sandy Cappelli after the death of their son, Steven.  Since then, the tournament has grown in popularity and was renamed to the Drives To Save Lives Golf Classic.

Registration will open at 8:30 and following the ceremonial balloon release the shotgun start will begin at 10:30 with the banquet following at 4:00PM.
