Where are they now? Arianna — Child

Arianna, today, doing well and loving life.

You would have to look pretty hard to find someone who has as good of a spirit as Arianna.  At seven years old she had a liver transplant. Her parents had to relocate near Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital and stayed with Steven’s Hope.  It was about a three month stay while she recovered.

For Arianna, the memories of that critical time are good ones. Even while living in a place that wasn’t home, it felt like one, complete with Christmas presents for the whole family. Now turning 23 in August, Arianna works as a waitress in one of the restaurants at Soboba Casino. Her life’s journey has inspired her to go back to school for nursing in Pediatric Oncology.

She now lives with her fiance and his daughter and loves being a “mom”.

Health-wise, she’s doing great aside from a few health problems outside of the liver transplant.  Overall, doing very well. Her liver transplant doctor has her on the lowest dose possible of anti-rejection medication. Trying to live the most normal life she can being a mom and paying bills, all that fun stuff.
